Can children travel in the Kombi?
Due to legal requirements regarding and the no seat belt design of Kombi’s we are unable to take children under the age of 7 years.
Can we hire the Kombi for self-drive?
Whitsunday Kombi is a chauffeur only service, self-drive is strictly not available.
Does the Kombi have air-con?
Air-con is not a feature of the original Kombi design and is therefore not available. Jasper is equipped with the classic and stylish safari windows which helps with air flow whilst underway.
How many people can fit in the Kombi?
Jasper can comfortably and safely accommodate a maximum of 8 guests. Any more than 9 passengers in total (including chaffeur) is a direct breach of our insurance and public liability policies and is therefore not allowable under any circumstances.
Can we eat and drink in the Kombi?
As you can appreciate the cost and devotion that goes into maintaining Jasper’s high level of quality, food and beverages of any sort are not allowed to be consumed within the Kombi.
Can we smoke inside the Kombi?
There is a strict no smoking policy inside the Kombi.
Is the Kombi pet friendly?
Unfortunately we do not accommodate pets.
Is the deposit refundable?
Unfortunately, the deposit is not refundable
How do I make payment?
Whitsunday Kombi accepts direct debit for deposit and remaining balance. Additional over-time hours are paid in cash on the day at $120 per hour.
What happens if we go over our hire time?
We will endeavour to make sure that the hire time booked for will accommodate all needs of your special day. If in the unlikely circumstance that the event extends past your pre-booked hire time then extra charges will made in hour increments, of $120 per hour and must be prearranged with driver.
Is there a cancellation fee?
Yes, cancellations made within 48 hours of the booked hire time will forfeit their full payment, this also includes cancellation due to weather.
What if I have not confirmed my schedule when I book the Kombi?
No worries, we will work with you from the day you book the Kombi to the day of your special event to organise and confirm pick-up times and locations.
When is the deposit and full payment due?
The deposit must be made to secure your booking. No booking is confirmed and secure without deposit paid in full. The remaining balance is due 4 weeks prior to the date of the booking.
Do you do last minute bookings?
Yes, however any booking made within 4 weeks prior to the date of the booking will require payment in full to be secured. This is subject to our cancellations policy as stated in our terms and conditions. Please contact us if you require more information.
